Welcome to the sixth edition of The Pulse!
Ah well, this letter is a bit different from my previous ones, it has no structure, no headings, no strategy because it's a Reflection.
A reflection of my take on how life goes on, an abstract of my thoughts, what I've learned from my experiences so far.
So let's dive in.
Nothing stays still. Nothing.
Not time. Not people. Not even pain.
You try to hold a moment, but it melts.
You try to pause a goodbye, but it ends anyway.
And sometimes, you don’t even realize a chapter’s over until you’ve been living in the next one for a while.
It is definitely terrifying at first.
Because we want closure. A clean edge. A full-circle moment.
But most of life doesn’t work like that. It just… moves.
It flows forward, with or without our permission.
But that’s also the most beautiful part.
Because it means the worst moment of your life?
It won’t last.
And the best one?
It teaches you how to see the next.
We don’t “get over” things.
We outgrow them.
We become people who can carry more.
And sometimes that includes leaving people behind.
Your family, your friends, even parts of yourself that once felt like forever.
There’s guilt there.
And surely there’s doubt.
But growth and guilt often arrive in the same season.
Not everyone is meant to come with you.
Not every relationship is meant to stretch across lifetimes.
And that doesn’t make it any less real.
It just makes it complete.
And it's indeed lonely sometimes, when we are trying to find ourselves, trying to give meaning to our own life.
But being alone isn't bad at all nor a misfortune.
Because in that moment, it's exactly what we need.
Of course, you’ll have days where you miss the people you’ve outgrown.
Some nights those memories will feel more lost... more distant.
But you’re not broken.
Nor are you lost.
You’re just unfolding.
Because time doesn’t heal all wounds, it teaches you how to carry them better.
And that joy is real even when pain still lingers.
That love doesn’t have to last forever to have meant something.
That just because something is over doesn’t mean it failed.
Hardship sharpens.
Beauty softens.
Both are teachers.
And no matter what… life goes on.
It won’t wait for you to be ready, for you to feel right.
It'll keep moving, it'll keep flowing.
It requires absolutely no permission from you.
But when you try again, when you walk again, when you decide to heal.
When you notice the beauty of the present moment.
That's when life will feel like life again.
We spend so much time trying to make sense of it all.
The clocks, calendars, milestones.
But the truth is, time doesn’t ask to be measured.
It just wants to be seen, to be felt.
Not everything is linear.
Some moments loop back.
A smell. A sound. A stranger’s laugh that reminds you of someone you had to let go.
And you wonder…
Did I... did I make the right call?
Or maybe I left too soon?
Perhaps, I should have held on a little longer?
And that's the ache of having a heart, it's the sharp sting of care.
That’s the ache of being human.
We don’t just feel things, we second-guess them.
But here’s the grace:
Doubt isn’t a sign you were wrong.
It’s just evidence that you cared deeply.
You outgrow things not because you’re ungrateful, but because you’re still growing.
And there's absolutely no shame in that.
Some people are chapters.
Some are entire books.
And some are just sentences that changed the way you read everything after.
Don’t rush to file it all away.
Let it live in you as it needs to.
And if today you feel a little behind,
a little overwhelmed,
a little angry,
a little sad,
a little unsure of who you’re becoming,
That’s completely okay.
It means you’re alive.
It means you’re not stuck.
Because as long as you show up, you'll get better.
And you have to,
Because somewhere out there, a new version of you is already waiting.
Not just stronger. Not just smarter.
But more truer, more genuine.
And the only way to meet them is to keep going.
Still healing.
Still writing.
And life, this quiet, persistent life, it is still going on:
With you.
For you, and
Through you.
And as always, Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you in the next one ^^
Best wishes,
Abhishek Tiwari
